Visiting Other Blogs...as H.W. Assignment

I visited some of other students' blogs; they all were nice with great deal of personality, I think. Some of them are nicely decorated with pictures, and others are well organized by writings and designs. I was astonished of their great blogs; however, at the same time, I found that some of their writings are written about very personal imformations that I have never known. I wondered why and what drove them to do so. Most of those blogs were edited for only homework assignments, but even so, those show partly but specificly about theselves. In my case, I've never written so specificly about myself, I hope. Well...よくわかりません。

Dreaming in Computer...as H.W. Assignment

Nowadays, computers are one of the most indispensable mechanical tools for human beings. In fact, people tend to rely too much on computer abilities. What I feel is, however, it is a bit terrifying to be used to the fake world that is allowed by computers; Internet is the most typical idea. Internet seems to have an extreme appealing that makes people caught by. For example, by using internet, people can go all over the world through computer monitors, and also communicate with many people even though they have never known each others so far. It, such a wonderful world, holds fascination for most people. Still, it happens only through the computer monitors and you, sitting in front of the computer; in other words, Internet is only a space that allows you to play, and it is the very fake world. Although people know that Internet can be the real world or not, they cannot stop themself enjoying and sometimes even cheating in such world. In addition, it makes them to be confused if they are living in the real world or just playing in the fake world, Internet. They get confused if themselves trully exist or not.

This view looks apparently too grave, but there already are some evidence that medically proved as Internet influence to human brain structure. Now I am studying about computers at college, but this kind of theories make me worried.

Facial Transplant

Nowadays, there are many improvements in medical technology. As medical technology has improved, problems among medical transplantation have been arisen; above all, facial transplant seems to be the most difficalt idea. Facial transplant is given to a person who had lost his/her facial skin somehow in order to recover his/her face as much as possible, and this kind of medical technology is seriously in need to some people; however, there are some problems of the matter. Those are difficult to solve because of complicated ethical problems.
Faces are the most personal parts of our body that definitely show our individualities. Faces are different in each person; therefore, those have significant meaning of our own. First, it is not easy for patients to change their own faces. Even though they made their decision to have facial transplants as medical treatments, it is hard to find donors who will give their facial skin for others. Although donors are already dead, it is not easy to use their facial skin of their own because their families will not let them be used so easily; this is the second problem.
Problems go on even after the surgical operation of facial transplant is over. As a matter of course, the patients' faces after the facial transplant become completely different from as it used to be. It means that the part that typically showed the patients' personality have changed. This is the most complexed problem. It may also cause serious problems, such as anthropophobia, for example, to patients; moreover, they can hardly live as they used to anymore after the transplant.
As the way to solve these problems, scientists have been started to research about artificial skin. Using artificial skin will not only cure more and more patients but also be able to help people without hurting anybody. Furthermore, it might recover patients' facial skin almost without changing their faces. It will surely be successful to make artificial skin for practical use. I am looking forward to it.

My History With Computer...as H.W. Assignment

I don't really remember much about my first encounter to a computer, but now I use it on many purpose. A type of computer which I use is Machintosh, and it is well known for creative abilities rather than Windows is. I used to use my computer, Machintosh especially in order to make some artistic stuff; for example, designing graphics, arranging pictures, or making music. However, now I am learning how to use Windows at college. There are some typical skills for using Windows to study, such as "Words", "Power Point", and "Excel" ; we need to be able to use these stuff in order to work and live successfully in our future.
